Colibrì is a life-saving device, as it replaces the function of the heart and lungs when they are temporarily compromised. Its high reliability allows it to be used even as a “bridge” to transplantation while awaiting organ donation. A magnetically levitated centrifugal pump ensures high biocompatibility, making it suitable for use in pediatric patients as well. Thanks to its 9 kg weight and aeronautical certification, Colibrì has made it possible to save numerous patients transported by helicopter.
