The human body put at center of a interactive, historic and scientific journey
Forget those boring old museums! Padua’s MUSME is an interdisciplinary and innovative museum, proving to be greatly successful amongst both primary and secondary schools. Inaugurated in 2015, it is already considered a national excellence.
MUSME narrates – both rigorously and entertainingly – the secrets of the human body along with the extraordinary journey of Medicine from ancient discipline to modern science, with a keen eye on the history of Padua’s medical school, which contributed massively to the birth of modern Medicine.
Thanks to its solid multimedia connotation, MUSME addresses everyone, by offering an exhibition itinerary adaptable to the visitor: from playful story-telling for the younger ones, to in-depth scientific learning for scholars.
It is an interdisciplinary itinerary that includes local heritage, History of Sciences, Anatomy and Physiology. The narration will be personalized by our guides, according to the demands of each school group. Age, examined topics and subjects taught by the accompanying teachers are information that will be collected beforehand and kept under consideration at the moment of the guided tour.
After the guided tour, all kids will become friends of MUSME: they will be able to come back to the museum free of charge for a year every time they will bring a paying visitor along with them, such as friends or family. So far there have been so many, including very young children, that have come back with their parents, siblings, grandparents, thus becoming the best ambassadors of the museum.
